1.Name : The name of the Group shall be "MANITHAM
[insert country, if any + Group name], hereinafter "the Group".
2. Aims and Accountability:
a. The aims, objectives and methods of the Group shall be those of MANITHAM
b. The Groups shall submit a detailed annual report of its activities, including
financial statements. This annual report will form the basis for a review of the
Group's work and continuation of its recognition and registration.
3. Group Membership:
a. Membership is open to all persons or bodies.
b. The Group shall have complete discretion by vote at a Group Meeting to refuse
membership of the Group.
4.Group Membership Fees:
The Group membership fees must pay to the Secretariat.
5. Meetings:
a. The Group may hold Group Meetings at least once in a month and organize Annual
General Meetings and Extraordinary Meetings as per norms.
b. Group Meetings, which shall be held monthly and which shall be open to all
members, shall determine the activities of the Group.
c. For a Meeting to be valid, Group Coordinator
and/or any one Executive member of the group shall be present.
d. Minutes of each Meeting shall be kept by the Group Coordinator, or by another
member deputizing for him/her in writing.
e. An Annual General Meeting shall be held every calendar year, and at least a
week notice shall be given to all members. The main purpose of the Annual
General Meeting shall be to elect Group Coordinator to receive reports.
f. A Group Meeting or an Annual General Meeting may decide to call an
Extra-ordinary Meeting for the purpose of conducting certain items of business
of which it considers all members of the Group should be notified. At least three
days prior notice shall be given for an Extra ordinary General Meeting to all
members of the Group.
6. Office Bearers:
The Group's Office bearer shall be Group Coordinator and Two Executive Members, shall be elected annually
at the AGM. Election may only take place at an AGM except where a vacancy occurs
during the course of the year in which case an Extraordinary General Meeting has
power to appoint a replacement until the next AGM.
7.Withdrawal of Membership:
A Group meeting may withdraw membership of any member subject to Secretariat approval. However withdrawal of the membership of any
member from the Group does not automatically terminate the Group Membership of MANITHAM.
8. Fund Raising:
Groups can raise fund through donations etc. On this fund, 25% shall transfer
to the Secretariat. The Group shall maintain a bank account and books of accounts.
9. Dissolution:
a. The Group may be dissolved by the AGM or Extra ordinary General Meeting and
requires a two-third majority of the members present and voting in favour of
dissolution. Or, in the event that at three successive meeting [each being an
Extraordinary or Annual General Meeting] no quorum [quorum at least one-third
member] is formed, or by a direction from the Secretariat.
b. In the event of dissolution of the Group all remaining funds shall be
transferred forthwith to the Secretariat.
10. Recognition, Registration and Sanctions:
a. A Group shall be formed only though due process as laid down and with the
formal consent of the Secretariat.
b. The Secretariat may impose sanctions [which may consist of a warning, intervention,
temporary suspension or permanent exclusion or closure of
any Group if the Group does not act within the spirit of the object, mandate and
methods set out in
Statute
of MANITHAM or does not maintain a minimal level of
activism and conform to the procedures outlined in this rules.
c. During any period of temporary suspension, or once the closure has been
agreed, the Group may no longer represent or use the name of MANITHAM
