Urging Malaysian police to take sever action against the culprit - Urging

========
Two Tamil migrants tortured in Malaysia
Mr.
Selvam (34) and Mr. Rengaraj (32) from Tamil Nadu, India seek job in Bending,
Malaysia. They have not been paid any salary for more than 1 year and while
enquired for their salary, the owner of the Poultry farm took them to an
isolated dark room in Puchong and tortured severely. Two were able to escape and reported
to a local Tamil person Mr. Mohan and he took both to Indian High Commission for
reporting. This news was flashed in a local
Tamil newspaper, Malaysian Nanban
in front page story on 13-07-2006.
Background:
Thousands and thousands of Tamils from Tamil Nadu are migrating to Malaysia for
seeking job. Two among them are Mr. Selvam (34) and Mr. Rengaraj (32), both
uneducated. They were from Cuddalore and Perambalur in Tamil Nadu respectively.
They joined as a coolie with a Poultry Farm located in Bending, Malaysia some
one year back. The owner assured them that he can pay 600 to 700 Malaysian
Dollar per month as salary. The coolies should work in the farm from dawn to
dusk and they have to stay in the farm at night. Most probably the owner has
extracted work from them as a bonded labourers and as treated them as slaves.
The
owner has not paid their salary for the past one year and while enquiry he said
that he has paid the salary to the kith and kin of the worker, who are in Tamil
Nadu, India. But Mr. Selvam and Mr. Rengaraj later knows that the salary has not
been paid to their relatives. The workers asked for their salary dues. The owner
of the Poultry farm took to a dark isolated room located in Puchong last Friday (07-07-2006) and
locked them up. For the past one week, every day, they were tortured severely. A
fire band of cloth rolled in a stick was put up in their penis several times. A
thin rod was also inserted into to hole of the penis. They were severely beaten
up indiscriminately in all part of the body.
Along with them two other Tamils were also tortured. But Mr. Selvam and Mr.
Rengaraj has a chance to escape from that torture camp on 12-07-2006. Still now,
the other two Tamils fate is unknown.
Manitham's Pray:
1. Take care of the two Tamils who were escaped from the torture camp.
2. Take steps to send them back to their native place.
3. Try to locate the two other Tamils, whose fate was till unknown.
4. Investigate the case properly under Malaysian Law and punish the culprit.
5. Further steps to be taken protect the migrants’ safe guard by the Malaysian
Government.
Thanking you
Yours truly,
for MANITHAM
