To protect the inviolable and inalienable human rights, to promote public interest litigation's and to enforce the dignity and freedom of the individual as guaranteed by the Constitution.
To provide legal aid to the poor and vulnerable sections of society in order to help them win their legal rights and social welfare schemes.
To protect the environment, to provide for the prevention, control and abatement of all types of pollution and for preservation of natural resources.
To defend the constitutional rights of the citizens and to render legal services to women, children, Dalits and Tribals.
To introduce and to initiate education on human rights, environmental and consumer laws in schools and colleges and to promote legal literacy among all, using audio & visual media.
To bring together socially committed lawyers and social activists on a common platform, to plan and to execute programmes for the common good of the society.
To conduct researches and surveys on the dichotomy between the notions of development and human rights based on concrete issues and to encourage people's initiatives to counter such steps that are detrimental to the larger interests of the weaker and unorganised sections of society.
To do such other acts and things that may be necessary and/or incidental to and in furtherance of the aforesaid objectives.
